WoDO is the MMO adaptation from the pen and paper role-playing games of World of Darkness which include: Vampire: The Masquerade, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Mage: The Ascension, Changeling: The Dreaming and others. In development by CCP, the game will focus upon the Vampire: The Masquerade theme and lore at its release.

The game will emphasize social interaction and political intrigue, remarked by CCP developers, through three different systems:​

• ​Coffee Shop:  Social Interaction, Role-Play and Cosmetics.
• Theme Park: PvE, World Events and Questing.
• Sandbox: PvP, Player & Guild Politics.

Following the desing of EVE: Online, the developers' main goal is​​ to allow players to do whatever they want. As far as we know, the game will set the focus on hardcore players with a lot of different ways to develop your own conquest of the night.
